Mayor de Blasio has no place running as a progressive presidential candidate while pushing a “regressive” plan for new jails, according to a new coalition hell-bent on squashing Hizzoner’s White House ambitions.

Community advocates will launch the “Boroughs United” campaign Thursday arguing that de Blasio should focus on investing in criminal justice reforms instead of building four new small jails to eventually replace the troubled Rikers Island complex. Read more.
